Implementing a "watch" feature using follow-up flags

Hi all,

I am subscribed to a large number of newsgroups (using NewsHound) and
mailing lists in Outlook. And I would like to see if there is new
activity in some threads that I contribute to or which interests me.

So I've created a Search Folder with follow-up messages and I have
marked the entire conversation with a follow-up flag. Up until now,
everything is cool; the existing messages from that conversation do
appear in the Search Folder. Now the question: will the new messages
that belong to this conversation be automagically flagged with this flag
and thus, will they appear in the Search Folder?

Or, is there any other trick that can be used to implement this kind of
feature in Outlook?

Thanks in advance!

With regards,

Messages in a conversation won't get flagged automatically. You'd need some
sort of rule to do it.

Hmm ... I am not sure I can make a rule that can "catch" my threads of
interest. I cannot think of any way to do this.

Is there any other way I can accomplish this basic task (to watch for
conversations)? Or if Outlook by itself cannot do it, are there any
third party add-ins that can do this?

Thanks and regards,
Stelian Iancu
