immediate sending of messages

hi,

when i create a message in outlook and press "send", it immediately starts
connecting to the internet and sending the message off. On my old laptop, the
messages were first kept in the outbox, and would be sent whenever an
automatic send/receive was scheduled. Now nothing is really stored in the
outbox, but straight away leaves it.......

How can i configure outlook 2003 to stop it from immediately sending my
email messages as soon as i press send??

Help!

Uncheck "send immediately when connected."
