immediate reboot after logon

When I log on to XP Pro the PC immediately reboots. I
can log on in safe mode no problem. In safe mode I
checke the event viewer and found this: event id: 7026;
source: service control manager; message: the following
boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load: AMD
K7, Fips.

My questions are: is this a simple matter of updating the
relevant drivers?; how can I do this from safe mode when
it won't connect to the internet?; and finally, what
would have caused this?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi

In safe mode, can you use the restore feature to rollback the OS to date before this symptom started
Or have you tried to load the OS from last known good config

Sorry to intervene, but can I ask how do you get into safe
mode and how do you rollback to a date when all was well,
this might help me.

Press F8 when you see the white line going across the screen at boot
up time.
