have WinXP MCE2004(NOT
2005), was logging into Windows Messenger and got popped-up dialog box
alerting to a newer version available. Clicked on it and on a few more otha
links and sumhow got to a page that mentioned regarding Windows Messeger
ADD-INs NO LONGER SUPPORTED and suggested installing alternative MSN
Messenger instead.............

went ahead UNinstalling Windows Messenger (think it was v4.7) via Add/Remove
Windows Components by UNchecking box next to Windows Messenger...but da
shortcut (guess dat's wat u call it) to it was still there in da Start Menu
so cuz I was just curious if it was completely uninstall b4 going ahead and
install MSN Messenger BETAv7.0, I clicked on shortcut and it
launched...apparently what was still WINDOWS Messenger 4.7???!!! OK, no
problemo, i'll just "REMOVE FROM THIS LIST" (Start Menu) by
right-clickin.........

...............now here's my Q: was this sufficient as far as da UNinstallin
process of a previous version b4 installin da new version? what happened back
there? how come da old v was still launched (meaning it wasn't really
UNinstalled but just kind of hidden away? HUH??????????)

then i just kinda ignore it as not being too serious (dat it
launched..assumin i can assume this??!!), i downloaded and installed da BETA
and used it, so far it seems OK (meaning no ill effects so far).

So BOTTOM LINE is, am I OK? (or is my system OK?) just cat away and living
life to da fullest? or is it gonna come back and polstergeist me?

Thanks for ur help,

hola amigo & amiga!

border.......now can i please get sum answers....hehehe

I think these guys are trying to tell you that your posting style is annoying.
You say you have a "serious" question. To be taken seriously, you might want
to try conforming to the standard rules of English.
Here's one suggestion from
ftp://rtfm.mit.edu/pub/usenet/news.announce.newusers/Hints_on_writing_style_for_Usenet
"Make an effort to spell words correctly. Obvious misspellings are
jarring and distract the reader. Every news posting program allows
you to edit your article before posting, and most systems have some
kind of spelling checker program that you can use on your article."

And another:"Cute" misspellings are difficult to read, especially if the
reader
is not fluent in the language involved."
I don't know about others, but I usually avoid answering posts such as
yours: They're too difficult to read and obviously not serious.

LOL indeed
Was watching the science show on the ABC last week regarding life
on Mars - albeit microbial, could the OP be THAT high ?.

rgds
Li'l Roberto

Now that is pretty HIGH. :o) I missed the show, but from reading, (notice
it does say Earth):

Microbial ecology is the study of ecosystems that are entirely composed of
or profoundly influenced by microscopic organisms. Unlike medical
microbiologists, who study disease-causing microbes, microbial ecologists
are often concerned with communities of microorganisms responsible for
processes that are helpful to or sometimes essential for the health and
survival of humans on Earth.
