imbedding sound

I am playing with ppoint 2000. I have mucked about with midi files, mp3, and
..wav and still have a hell of a problem emailing the finished show to people
with the viwer...result: no sound. It works fine for me.

My question is, (after reading everything on this forum relating to sound)
if I fork out for 2003 will it be easier? or still the same gobbledy-gook
that I get with 2000?

I need the music to play across the slide show, otherwise, no use to me.

Please help out a newbie, I don't mind updating, but not if it don't help.

Only wav can be embedded.
You might want to take a look at:

Try using a wav and adding it as the transition sound at the first slide

Slide show > slide transition
In the sound drop down scroll right down to other sound and then navigate to
your wav

Plays across slides and embedded in one step.

And no its not a lot easier in 2003

Xp or 2003 is much better in other ways though!!!

Thanks to all, I'll try the add-in, although I realise the 2003 will be
better anyway. I am using XP, and I use Fpage 2003, so I guess it's spend
MORE money time! Thanks for all your help.
