images resize to fit window

when viewing some jpg images, they will resize to fit
within a single page, while other images seem to download
at full size and the browsers elevator bar will appear.
Any ideas why?

never mind, found it. tools>Internet
options>advanced>multimedia>enable automatice image
resizing.
