images not showing in IE6 with SP1

Hi all,
I'm running XP with IE 6 SP1. I noticed on some
websites, and it seems to be sporadic, that some images
such as .gifs or .jpgs will not show up. I get a box
with an "x" in the upper right hand corner.

I've searched the IE knowledge base and have not run
across any answers.

If any one has seen this or know how I can fix it let me
know. It's a little annoying when you are trying to view
images and they aren't appearing. Thanks for the help.

Not a bad question. Your fixes don't seem to work for

When you click a link in IE 6 SP1, it doesn't load the image.

Hi,

I too am running IE 6 SP1 on Windows ME and I have found
that I can't display any png files. JPGs and gifs show
just fine. I too would appreciate an answer if anyone can
figure this out.
