Hi; I am having a wierd problem that when I save a web page with a new image
in it that has a source outside the web folder I am not getting a promt to
save the image in my web and thus the auto thumbnails are being saved in the
temp files. This is the only site I am having this problem with. All my
other webs I do have a promt that comes up when I save a page that has a new
image in it.

You should always import the image into the current open web prior to using it in the web, this way
you will never have this issue.

I am having the same problem. What do you mean "import the image?" Where is
that option?

File > Import.
Or copy and paste, or drag the image into a location inside your web and *then* insert it in your
page.

Then again, maybe that's not the problem I'm having........

When I try a "save as" with interactive buttons that I have added to a
previously created page, I do not get the window requesting where the
buttons should be stored.

Oh, well, I'll get my act together another day and give blow by blow actions
on what I have done.

Thanks.

That's because FrontPage saves them in a predetermined location so that it knows where they are so
the javascript that makes them function works properly.
With your web open, click Tools > Site settings, click the Advanced tab and check the box "Show
hidden files and folders."
Click Ok and then recheck your file and folders view.

Keep in mind that the files and folders that now display are there for and were hidden for a
purpose. Therefore, don't mess with them.
