I am having issues with a particular website;

www.autotrader.co.uk

when I access this site, jpegs are not displayed for all of the cars.
Bizarrely, some of them are displayed, but for those that aren't, the
placeholders are not even shown, despite me enabling the 'Show image download
placeholders'
in Internet Options.

I have not noticed this issue on any other website, and I had the same issue
with IE6.

Any ideas would be welcomed,

Thanks

Where on the website are you having the problem? I'm happy to check for
you, but it's a large website and I don't feel like hunting around.

Hi Malke,

if I do a particular search for cars (it doesn't matter what the search is)
the results are returned, and within the results the majority of them do not
display an image of the car down the left hand side, instead there is a link
saying, for example '4 photos'.
If I click on this link, the details of the car in question are displayed,
but no images are shown, and there is only the 'Enlarge' link. If I click on
this link, a new pop-up window is opened, which is completely empty.
I have tried messing ading Autotrader to my trusted sites, and allowing
pop-ups for the site in McAfee, I have also frigged about with the Internet
Options for images in IE7, bit this hasn't improved things.
Any feedback/ideas would be appreciated,

Well, luckily I had an English address in my contacts so I could enter
the postcode because the site won't let you search without one. After
all that, the page displays perfectly for me in Firefox 2.0 (Linux). I
do see that javascript is involved, so the only thing I can think of is
that McAfee or another security program you have is blocking things.
Javascript is not the same as Java.

So all I can suggest is that you look very carefully in McAfee, possibly
post your question in the McAfee forums, or use another browser. You
might also want to post in the IE newsgroup because the helpers there
are IE experts. Firefox 2.0 is out now and it is always good to have
more than one browser.

I'm sorry I was unable to pinpoint the issue for you.
