images location

Hi all, hope somebody can point me in the right direction.

I need to display images in a report. At the moment the images are embeded
in an excel file. Is it possible to define the names of these images and then
use them as the path for my report images , and if so how would I do it? Or
do I need to re-save all my images as separate image files.

I've constructed a table wtih a hyperlink field for the image path, and a
report with an unbound image frame, but then I get lost! Would I need to have
two fields for the image path - one for the location and one for the image
name - to be able to change the location of my images?

Actually. it's a lot easier than that. You do not need to use the extra
overhead of a hyperlink over a plain text field. Have a look at my sample

Thank you very much - this looks like it could be really useful to me.

Would it be possible to use a workbook as the file path? Would I then be
able to refer to a worksheet and a named picture on the worksheet?

You might be able to use a workbook, not as a picture but as an app. But you
would also need to programmatically save the picture as a file first. I've
done something similar with a PowerPoint app.
