images in emails

How do I in the 'save picture as', with an email image, to give me other file
extensions such as 'jpg, gif' other then the file extension 'bmp'?

You need to first save with the file extension as attached.
Then, open the file where you've saved it and then save
using a different extension. Most of the applications that
will open bmp and jpg files will support saving in another
format.

If nothing else, Office has an application called Photo Editor
that comes in Office Tools. If you don't see it, put your
Office Product Disc in and select it for installation.... It's fast
and handy to have.
