ok i tried swift, but two issues:

1. nagware? it nags me when i try to create a pdf.

2. won't "stretch" or do a single image per page unless i am missing
something (it add filler to make image legal size page which is *NOT*
what i want.

any other programs that can do this ?

i don't want a printer driver.

Hi PT,

Could it be that you stumbled over an older, still shareware, version of
Swift? When Ed made Swift available from the download page at his site I
downloaded and installed it. I just made a couple of PDFs and there was
no nagging when I created the PDFs, and all image options (Stretch; Fit;
Full Size) were available and functional!

I got my copy from:

http://www.derring.com/swiftpdf/download.htm

yea that's where i got mine.

is there a way to create multi-page pdf's with images without the
filler (the white that shows up when an image doesn't take up a full
page) ?

Hi PT,

Then I don't understand the limitations you encountered.... Here
everything seems to work just nicely!

Multi-paged PDF's with images is only a matter of adding additional
images; the white margins can be almost (except for about 1 mm around)
omitted by changing the top, bottom, left and right margins to 0 (zero);
I could send you the 2 page PDF I just made if your addy is correct?

But you'd have to make the page orientation "landscape' and set the
program to let the image fill the page (which I does quite nice, BTW)

You asked for another program to do so; not as easy to handle, and more a
RTF-editor like the old Tomahawk program, is EZPDF from www.IlionSoft.net
(or llionsoft.net; I still can't figure out whether it is ILIONSOFT, or
LLIONSOFT), which was mentioned I think about a week ago!

I hope this helps a bit

the limitation i get is that the demo swift version cannot create a pdf
of more than 5 pages.

Hi PT,

Now this is funny... I have just created a 7 page PDF with it; with all
types of photo's, maps and other stuff in it... Perhaps this is a memory
issue? In the SWIFT PDF thread Ed Derring replied to the problem of the
mutulated download page; in his post's header this address was listed:
(e-mail address removed) (take out the obvious); perhaps you should ask him
why I can go over these 5 pages, and you can't.

For comparison:

My system is running W2K/SP4 in 256 MB RAM, of which 130 were left to the
application
