image size....

I generated an image which is 285Mb (not compressed, just all files
together).
I deployed and run the FBA.
Now it's 786MB

wow 500Mb of installed components?
is there not a way to trim down the result?

Yep, I used the .NET3 component.
Although, ideally, I'd like to use the .NET3.5.

Curiously I deleted the C:\Windows\dotnefx3.msi file (after installation),
but the disk space didn't change!?! strange...

I'm also puzzled as to why it's so big!...
I tried to install the 3.5ClientSP1Beta1 (supposedly smaller) but it was
still just as big or close...

..NET 3.0 is big - very big. It adds all the new assemblies for WPF and other
technologies.

strange.. they manage to put .NET3 on the micro framework and Silverlight!

anyway, do you think that Windows Embedded Standart to be available soon
will contains a smaller footprint .NET3/WPF?
