I try to make a banner ad. I use a software which assemble images to make a
GIF animation (banner ad) but I need to make these images before. I'm looking
for a image editor software, not complcated like Photoshop. In the past, I
used Microsoft Image Composer, I don't think it exist anymore. What simple
software would you recommend? Microsoft don't make one?

Try IrfanView (I think that's the name) that's mentioned alot on this
newsgroup - it's free.

Photoshop Elements is good and not expensive.
A good free one you may want to try is Serif PhotoPlus (from
freeserifsoftware.com)
