Placing banner ads

I'm trying to place banner ads on my website for the first time. I created an
ad in Adobe Illustrator (two images) and saved them into the images folder in
my website files as gifs. I then tried to place them on a page using the
banner ad manager, setting it to dissolve from one image to the next, and
linking the ad to a website. It doesn't show up when I go to preview mode, or
when I publish the page and try to view it online. I'm using Frontpage 2002
in a Windows XP environment. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

You are using the banner ad manager. This is a Java applet that
requires all users to have a Java Virtual Machine (JVM) installed.
Windows XP does not come with a JVM which must be downloaded, and many
(most?) users of Windows XP either do not have the JVM, or have it
disabled for security reasons.

Look for a JavaScript image rotator instead.

will bring up many hits for scripts. Choose the one that fits your needs.
