I'm trying to save my info on a cd?

I typed up some things on microsoft word & now I'm trying to save my work to
a cd & I'm unable to save my work.
 
Using Explorer Windows (key) E locate your document and right mouse click on
it - select "Send to" and select the CD DVD (it could be PIONEER.. or such)
usually D or E or F drives depending on how many Hard Disks you have.

Then you have to write the file to the CD's - either wait to be asked or
check the dropdown menu "Write Files" to CD and follow the Wizard.

Hope that helps.
 
That is normal behaviour. Save to the hard drive and use your CD mastering
software to copy to the CD.

What do I do if, despite having inserted a disc I am told "no disc in the
drive?"
 
Is the CD-R blank? Is the CD-R compatible with your writer?
Are you using the software supplied with your writer? If not, is it
compatible with the writer?

It's blank...how do I know if it's compatible?

Check the writer manufacturer's web site and use only recommended disc
types. With others there can be compatibility problems. None of this has
anything to do with Microsoft Word. Try the CDR forums.
