IM question

I am not sure if this is the right forum to ask this question - if not then
please dont write back and try to make me sound like some idiot for posting
on the wrong board. A more mature - point me in the right direction would be
appreciated.

I just downloaded Yahoo IM. When I send an IM to someone it always starts
with my name - example - Bobby Smith says: Hi, how are you? I would rather it
say: myUsername says: Hi, how are you?

I have looked and looked and can not find out how to change this. When I do
go to "My account info" I do not see any way to change the showing of my
name. Any and all help appreciated. Thanks.

I don't have an answer for you but your best bet would be with Yahoo's
support and/or forums.

Start Yahoo Messenger

Messenger menu | Preferences | Appearance tab

You have the option of these:

Nickname or First and Last Name
Yahoo ID

Choose Yahoo ID, click APPLY then click OK

Close YM & re-open just to make sure & it should be done
