IIS install problem

I am running XP Pro SP2 (all updates complete). I need to install IIS but on
opening Add remove programs - Add remove Windows components - the IIS
component is missing. I have tried both the repair and install options to no
avail. I have also tried another XP Pro disc (from which I loaded IIS onto a
laptop previously) but still no joy on my PC! Anybody any ideas or do I try
PHP or Apache for a free route to an ASP server?

Only IIS does ASP natively. The IIS component will be a sub component of
one of the Windows Components not sure which right now maybe Networking???

OK in Windows XP Pro it is under:

Start | Control Panel | Add\Remove Programs | Add\Remove Windows Components
| Internet Information Services (IIS) 13.5 MB. You must have Windows XP Pro
if you have Home edition you will not have Internet Information Services.
You check the version of XP you are using by Right-clicking My Computer icon
on desktop | Properties | General. It will say there.

XP Pro is loaded but no IIS shows in the Add/remove Windows components. I'm a
little perplexed to say the least.

Very. There is nothing I can do about that. You might be able to install
from the Windows XP Pro CD but otherwise try the IIS newsgroup.

server: msnews.microsoft.com
newsgroup: microsoft.public.inetserver.iis
