I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask. I just need PHP installed to
test a script with I.E. I don't even need mysql. The problem is I'm using
virtual pc on a Mac and it is really slow but it works. I have windows XP
pro installed. I only know apache not IIS so I tried to install xampp with
sql lite which is the smallest package. It did download and install but
Apache 2 would not start. Does anyone have a guess why? Would it work
better if I used IIS with PHP? I could install PHP separately but it is
really easy with XAMPP. I tried downloading the full XAMPP but it is too big
too download. all I need is PHP to run my script not mysql. It seems hard
to configure IIS but I could try if you think downloading php should work
with it. I wonder why apache in the xampp control panel didn't start with
xammsql lite?
tnx,
