Thank you in advance for any help.
I've created a new website in IIS on an XP Pro system. If I take off
anonymous access within properties/Directory Security for this site, I will
of-course be faced with Windows Authentication when I type the public static
IP address for this machine.
However, unlike other operating systems, when I plug in the proper
User/Password for Win Auth, nothing happens, it fails to connect to the
website.
But when I allow anonymous access in IIS for this site, I am able to gain
access to it with no Windows Auth.
Why, when I have anonymous access disabled am I faced with "You are not
authorized to view this page" after plugging in a proper User/Password as
opposed to other operating systems which allow access once a proper
User/Password is entered. It is happening on all XP Pro machines.
Thanks again!
