IIS and NTFS permission

dear all,

I have a dvelopement PC which is connected to IIS default
web, I regulary update the root web pages for developement
purpose. IIS permission on the root web is READ/write

can with this IIS permission other users with NTFS
permission get ther setting set to default ?

strange complain I got

IIS and NTFS permissions are totally different, but for someone to have
access, you must grant them access in both places. If they have access
with IIS, but you block it with NTFS permissions, then they won't have
access.

For anyone to have read/write access, then you must allow it with IIS
and NTFS.
