IIS and FrontPage 2003

I am looking into creating a webpage for friends and family to view (I am new
to webpage creation). I have Windows XP Pro and FrontPage 2003.

From a security standpoint, would it be safer to have my personal website
(high volume traffic will not be an issue since it is for friends and family)
on a separate hard drive on my computer (for example on the D: drive instead
of the typical C: drive) or through my local Internet provider?

I want to ensure that my personal webpage is secure as much as possible. I
am looking into username password scenarios, https, and so forth. Any
resources I should look into to further my knowledge? I currently have two
books as resources: (1) "Microsoft Windows XP Inside/Out Deluxe Edition"
(second edition) by Bott, Siechert and Stinson and (2) "FrontPage 2003: The
Missing Manual" by Jessica Mantaro.

Thank you in advance for the assistance!

Host it on your ISP's server (or any of the free / low cost hosts out there)
Win Xp pro is limited to 10 connections (that is not 10 users) and you don't want to run a public server from your PC

Thank you for your insight. I will look into my ISP and/or the other hosting
options available online.

Hardly worth the effort to set up a local server, since you can get decent
hosts with FP extensions for less than $8 a month.
