If you delete an attachment from an email, where dose it go?

Is it stored in any of the TEMP folders? It should not be part of the
Recycle Bin or the Deleted Items folder as far as I know. You can undo the
delete. I had the question put to me and I could not honestly answer it. Any
help would be appreciated.
 
Nothing in email goes to the Recycle bin. Delete mean it's gone. If you still
have the original email in deleted items or another folder and did not answer
yes to "Save Changes?" when you deleted the attachment it will be attached.
