How can I get the following function to check and count for the letter L as
well H

=IF(A8="","",COUNTIF(F8:AJ8,"H"))

Hi Ian

check out your original post in microsoft.public.excel.worksheet.functions
it's generally not necessary to post to more than one group as most people
read most of the groups.
