If one computer on your network gets a virus will all the other computers on your network get it to?
 
More likely than not. Most viruses these days, once inside a network, will
exploit "known-safe" connections between networked PCs to spread the
infection. Since most folks filter at the gateway but not at the desktop,
if a copy of Blaster or Sasser got inside the gateway any desktop without
its own firewall (or with the firewall turned off!) would be vulnerable.
