If I transfer a 2007 office file to a PC with 2003 can it read it

I have trial version of office 2007 at home, I don't seem to be able to email
or transfer files to work which has office 2003. Is it possible to do this?

Save the file as 97-2003 file in Excel 2007

Office button>Save As...Excel 97-2003 workbook
