I think I'm screwed but if I reinstalled Outlook over the old one, is there
any way to retrieve my olf data file? I was not archiving and when I
reinstalled Outlook all was gone. I had to reinstall Windows XP because of a
virus. After that I had to reinstall all my programs to make them work. Any
help would be appreciated.

If you reinstalled Windows XP without reformatting the drive then you still have your data files (pst files). If you reformated you don't have them anymore; they're gone. If you reinstalled over the top of your previous installation then you have more profiles. Some with your MachineName appended at the end of them.

So you need to unhide Folders and files and uncheck hide file associations and show System Folders and Files. This is done in Windows Explorer | Tools | Folder Options... | View. You will see the options in there.

After that you can look in each %profile% on the machine. Find:

C:\Documents and Settings\%profile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook. You will find your pst's in there for each %profile%.
