If I only upgrade my Outlook to 2003 why can't I still use my MS .

If I only upgrade my Outlook to Outlook 2003, why can't I use my MS Word 2002
as my email editor?
 
Because the versions must match. There are updates to Word 2003 that enable
it to work as Outlook 2003's email editor. That has always been teh case.
