if I close Outlook I lose the Shortcuts I Created

I am using Microsoft outlook. Under the shortcut pane I create shortcuts to
data templates and folders that I use several times a day. Everything works
great untill I shut down the computer to go home. When I turn it on in the
morning and start Microsoft outlook all my shortcuts that I created are gone.
I have to recreate them. What do I need to do to prevent this from accuring?

One thing to try is to make sure that the names of the shortcuts use only alphanumeric characters and spaces.

The shortcut pane in Outlook 2003 is way buggy (how hard is it to write a
Shortcuts pane???). I lose my shortcuts in there all the time for some
reason, though unlike you it's not 100% of the time. Also, I have Outlook in
my Startup folder set to load "Minimized'.... and usually this casues
Outlook to show the shortcuts pane with just generic "folder" icons instead
of the true icons of the shortcuts.

Buggy buggy buggy. What ever happened to Quallity Assurance?

I found that Outlook would allow the characters and spaces but not anything
else or the whole list of shortcuts I created would be gone when I closed and
reopened Outlook. The odd character I used that blew everything away was an
apostrophe. Although it works, it still has some repairing that needs to be
done.
