Once in a while I get the following error when exiting IE7.

The instruction "0x686b97" referenced memory at "0x0000034". The memory
cound not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the program.

This is the only time I get any kind of memory error. The error is the same
each time. It "seems" to occur on a couple of specific sites - Verizon
wireless and Funmobile, but not all the time. Though it may have occured on
other sites as well. Started 3-4 days ago and 2-3 times a day.

Do not seem to have any problems with apps or other surfing.

Bad RAM sticks?

=> Does this behavior persist if you start IE7 in No Add-ons mode? To start
IE7 in No Add-ons mode:

1. Right-click on the blue IE desktop icon and select Start without Add-ons;

2. Start > (All) Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Internet Explorer
(No add-ons).

Neither #1 or #2 provided access to Add-ons. On the address bar went to
Tools, Internet Options, Programs and found add-ons there. Kind of tough to
figure out what is needed and what isn't. But will give it a try - one at a
time. :)

Thanks for the great help, now and in the past. :))

Then you may have a horked (dirty; bad; flawed) install of IE7. I suggest
that you...

1. Uninstall IE7 (which automatically returns you to IE6) per
http://www.ie-vista.com/kbase2.html

2a. Uninstall all toolbars and third-party Windows Themes (including Window
Blinds).

2b. Disable all Norton Add-ons, if applicable.

3. Reinstall IE7 exactly per
http://www.ie-vista.com/known_issues.html#pre-install, and using
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/default.mspx as the installation
source, not Automatic/Windows Update.

4. IMMEDIATELY go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and install any
critical updates offered. If a "Root Certificates" update is listed in the
Optional category, you might install it, too, to take full advantage of
IE7's additional security.
