Iexplore.exe runs as a systemstart and consumes 70 - 95 % cpu when
everything else idle.
System is scanned for virus and spyware.
Win XP and SP1, uninstalled all updates and reinstalled them.
When i try to kill the process iexplore.exe it start up again...
Plzzzz help me

Try this:

http://lavasoft.element5.com/support/download/ To download the free version
of AdAware. Download, install, update, scan, delete spyware.

Sorry for the vague answer but I've been seeing this all day and wanted to
know if AdAware managed to cure it for you as it did another person in chat.

Open regedit, search for iexplore.exe. Look for it in locations it shouldn't
be. In particular look here:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
(and RunOnce but shouldn't be there unless it recreates itself.)

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
(there too)

HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
(there too)

Etc. If you see it in any of these places go ahead and turn it off and try
booting again.

As always backup your registry before toying with it.

Finally, the references that I found for the symptoms all have to do with
viruses, trojans, or spyware. You've stated that you've scanned already
though so hopefully you've up-to-date definitions from a reputable company.

I do hope that this helps and if you have no luck with that method please
feel free to write back.
