every time I access Internet explorer, I receive a small
error message dialog box. It shows "iexplore" with a
red "X" and the message, "not a valid date".

Any help removing or correcting will be great. Thanks.

Hi Keith,

Go to Add or Remove and remove the CPR application. Also delete the cpr.dll
from the System32 folder.
