I continuously get the above error when visiting certain
websites -- not all, a few. I particularly encounter it
when visiting collegeboard.com....and many instances of
the error over and over. It appears as a small box a
number of times on the screen.

I'm using WindowsXP.
I also have Norton Personal Firewall installed & enabled.

Can anyone provide some insight here? I tried Microsoft's
knowlege base and cannot come up with anything.

Thanks,

Could be many things.

Get this.
Microsoft's Scripting download
Get the latest. Two download versions are available for Windows Script 5.6.
The first version requires Windows 2000, XP; the second version requires
Microsoft Windows 98, Millenium Edition (Me), or NT 4.0. Choose the download
appropriate for your operating system.

If still no joy then check your Java.

There's a good possibility that this is being caused by a third-party
program (adware, spyware, parasite).
