iexplore.exe application error

Hello, I have been having this application error window pop-up everytime I try to get on my dsl server. the connection is never made and when I exit the program I get this Window pop-up:
"The instruction at 0x017c1208 referenced memory at 0x017c1208. The memory
could not be read. Click OK to terminate the program."
I've contacted my provider, COMCAST, but they think the problem is in my system. Any hepl would be greatly appreciated

Those type memory errors are usually parasite related ...
