Hello

I have a strange anomaly. In Task Manager, I see ieexplorer running a new session every 10 to 15 seconds until over 330 sessions are running. I have tried to run Norton Antivirus and it found a virus but cleaned it but this still happens. Oh by the way, it starts right after startup. It is similiar to when you go to a site that continues to send new sessions but they are viewable. These are not viewable, only in Task Manager

Any ideas on how to fix this

Thanks

Hi Butch. I get something like that, too. I'll be in IE
and after a while, the windows will simply hang and stop
working. I can't move them, close them, etc.. If I do
move them, they will "smear" across the screen and
obliterate everything under them. The only way out is to
restart the computer. In task manager it says that 100%
of the capacity is used. This is what is causing the lock-
up but I don't know what is leading to this. I'm going to
download any Windows XP updates and IE6 patches that
Microsoft has but first I'm going to scan and defrag my
drive. If anyone else has this problem (or knowledge of
how to correct it), please put a note in this forum. I'll
let everyone know how I fare.

Regards,
Joe

Remove the parasite.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.

Let AD-Aware Scan your system for advertising Spyware
http://www.lavasoftusa.com

and:

SpyBot-S&D
http://security.kolla.de/

p.s Reset the 3rd party browser setting.

More: This may be caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware,
parasite).
Get AdAware and SpyBot and run them both. Keep them up to date.
