Since installing IE7 I am getting problems. They are...
When I start up I get "pchnotify.exe has encounted a problem and has to
close" it does not seem to affect anything but its a pain seeing it.
Also Data execution prevention keeps closing programs and will not let me
into the control panel to change the settings.
PLEASE HELP

I had this same problem and got rid of it by the following method, using the
steps below.

My Computer, Search, All files and folders, and type in pchnotify.exe in to
subject box when it finds the file right click on the name and then
properties, compatability. Mine was windows 95 in a shaded box, ammend to
windows 98 and check the box "Run this program in compatability mode for"
Seems to be working OK now and so far have not encountered any problems by
doing this
