IE7 has to emulate IE6 to open secure websites?? help!

I just installed Vista Ultimate.
My only problem is IE7 cannot open any secure website.
I can't even check mail on yahoo.
The only thing I could find that might help is the following:
http://www.fiddlertool.com/useragent.aspx
It says: Want Internet Explorer to simulate another version?

IE7 Users: A new tool is available to change the User-Agent string, and
optionally report the sites that block IE7 to Microsoft for followup.
Otherwise, run one of the following scripts and restart all browser
instances to see the change.

a.. Internet Explorer 6 on WindowsXP (use this to workaround sites that
block IE7 or Windows Vista)
b.. Internet Explorer 7
c.. Undo User-Agent registry overrides
If you click on "new tool" you download a file called
"uasutility-v2-x86.msi".
What the heck do I do with that??
Is this even the right solution?
Why can I NOT open secure websites with IE7?
This is driving me CRAZY!

So use Mozilla Firefox. No problems with FF and secure sites.

The correct solution to IE7 which is the worst browser I have ever had
the misfortune to encounter is Firefox. Or did somebody say that
already.

You could go through all the MSFT KB articles and spend hours wadeing
through the almost incomprehensible drivel to try fixing it but WTF
should you bother, you did not break it you just need a working,
reliable browser.
