IE7 Auto open/download

ok someone in IE discussion said to ask here i accidently made is so the
..gadget files are auto open instead of having it prompt me to save. i know
in xp it was easy to do but it seems they removed the functionality to fix
this with the folder optoins and file types. is there a registry section i
can edit other than the main one is HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT>.gadget
 
Try going in to the Program Defaults on the Start Menu
With in here, you can change the file associations.

thank you for the info i had already found that tho. it seems i can only
change what programs open files but not shose weather they are auto open or
save let alone make them prompt everytime. than you for you reply tho
