Have a machine that can surf the net fine but when you
try any secure sites or use https you get page can not be
displayed like I'm not on the net. Did a nslookup and
found the site I was trying to hit. Loaded Netscape and
worked fine (but who likes netscape) ran spybot cleand up
that stuff set up new dial connection. Any other ideas?

Check this:
Click Tools/Internet Options/Advanced
In the security section, check if you have SSL 2.0 and
SSL 3.0 enabled....
It's a long shot, but never hurts to check...
