IE6 won't load after update

My sister's laptop was working fine until this week's automatic update. Now
IE won't load and just shows a blank page. Cannot find any viruses or
spyware on the machine and other web browsers like Opera still work. Any
ideas?

Windows version?

If you uninstall all of the recently installed updates via Add/Remove
Programs, does the problem persist?

That's a fairly sure sign of a hijackware infection, not the affect of any
of the updates.
