IE6 will not load secure pages

Please help! IE6 will not load secure pages like https://
or secure.domain.com. This just started a while ago. I
had installed a longhorn transformation pack to make my
computer look like Longhorn, but it wouldn't start back
up, so I recovered it using the disk. (Basically a
reinstall of windows, while still keeping the settings).
A litle after that, IE6 would not load secure pages. I
got help out of a Microsoft KB article, and it said that
my user was corrupted and I gad to make a new one, so I
did. Then IE6 worked fine. Yesterday it started doing it
again, saying that it could not load the page. My cypher
strength is at 128 bit, I have all the Windows updates (I
also cant get into the optional Windows ones, the 2nd one
down) and I am running XP SP1. Is there any way I can fix
this without having to reinstall windows? Thanks in
advance,
Michael H

You are posting through the web interface so we can't tell for sure
but I suspect it means that your computer's date and time are wrong.

Are you using a POP-Up Blocker program? If so you might need to check its settings. There might be a feature to ALLOW pop-ups through, for just that domain. Or you might have reduce how strict that program deals with POP-Ups. You will need to check the program's preference settings.
