IE6 weird problem

Hi,
I have IE6 on my pc and when i load it up , my display
sometimes goes off...the pc is still going (the fans are
anyway)and i have to reboot.
I'm using W2k, and athlon xp2000, loads of ram. my
grahics card is a dual monitor Radeon 9200. I updated
the drivers a coupla months ago.
My system is generally stable and this has me baffled.
Is it a h/ware or s/ware problem?
Can someone help me out before i throw it out the window,
get an abacus, and start playing ludo?

Sounds like your screen saver is kicking in.
Perhaps you have it set for DPMS and it is not
appropriate for your hardware.

BTW this is off-topic for this newsgroup.
Try reposting in a newsgroup which specializes in your video card
or your OS.

Try to reproduce the problem more than once; just to know if it is Internet Explorer causing the problem or there may be other reasons as Robert said.
