ie6 vs. Opera question

I was switching my browsers arund for a little bit, trying to find a lower
memory hog than ie6 (i heard it was one of the worst). Firefox had MASSIVE
memory leaks bringing it to 60,000kb of mem usage on my comp. So I d/l Opera
yesterday and, the first time I opened it, it ran at 1,000 kb.... GREAT!
AWESOME!... but today, even after clearing everything in it and closing it
then reopening it, its using 15,000 kb.... and its on google as hte
homepage... Nothing it loads first should bring it up so high.... Why is it?

Perhaps it is your system. I would ask about it in a Opera newsgroup as
well and about Mozilla Firefox in that newsgroup.

Buy more RAM and stop moaning.

your right about the RAM man..... 1 GB isnt enough.... maybe I should get
vista x64 and upgrade to 10GB of RAM.

Although I use XP at work, my PC at home runs 98 SE, and I gotta say
that IE is *much* less of a resource hog than either Firefox or Opera.
