IE6 stalls regularly

I am running ie6 on a 266 PII, under Windows ME. When
using Explorer it will regularly(about every 5
mins) "stall" for about 30 secs when I click on a
link/favorite/ or open a new window. I am running off a
wireless network. The signal quality and strength are
excellent and the other computers on the network are
fine. Have reinstalled the OS, IE and all the drivers.
Have cleaned out all the spyware. No luck. Suggestions?
