I am unable to delete the Searchece.com, which has taken over my IE. I have installed & ran adware , but it still comes back after I have restarted my pc. I am running xp home edition. Also, when I mistype a url, it doesn't take me to my normal default page saying it cannot find the address, but to a htm which says it is located in my Local user settings, but when I go to look for it or search for it, it doesn't appear to be there. I have "show hidden files" turned on. Please can anyone help.

Try other hijacker removal tools. CWS Shredder and spybot are a good start.

Thanks, do you have any good links to get them??

In the mean time you can use this hosts file to filter out going to that
site.
