IE6 Search

Does anyone know why the search in IE6 has suddenly changed? You can no
longer specify multiple search engines as before. You can only pick one. And
if you close the search panel and reopen it, it resets, losing your search
query. It is not just my computer, or XP. It is happening in Win98, Xp and
2000. And it just began this past week. It is not a high jack or spyware or a
virus. (I fix computers for a living). Even if you dig out an old computer
and get it online, it to becomes affected. Just wondering why. Is Micirosft
forcing us to use it's new search beta? I got used to using that search panel
off to the left and seeing the results in the main window without hoping back
and forth!! any one have any answers?

which. If you really knew computers, you'd know how to formulate
a question that was answerable. What do you -really- want to
know? The answer to your first question is: They aren't and you

Now I know why I usually do not participate in these news groups. A few
sarcastic people like you just like to nit pick for no reason. Since you have
no clue to why it has changed, maybe you should have just kept quite in your
little troll house!

Interestingly, in todays newspaper, Friday March 10th, there was an
article about how MS is going "all out" to combat google search and
yahoo search.

It was obviously derived from a press release that MS mailed out, as it
listed [highlighted] several MS "search" websites I havn't heard of
before.

BTW. MS cant "force" you to use "any" search engine. It's up to you what
service you want to use.
