If I type WWW.MACQUARIE.COM in the IE6 address bar I get redirected to
ninemsn Search where a list of "did you mean" sites is shown. This list
includes the address I'm trying to access but clicking that link gives me a
"Can't load the page" error (DNS Server. This is the only site I have
trouble with. My ISP, Symantec and Macquarie have tried to help without
success.

Anyone out there help? I have tried various items in the MS support site,
still no success.

Can you go to the command prompt, to do this go to Start...Run...Type "CMD"
and then click OK.

Now in here type "ping www.macquarie.com"

It should show:
"Pinging www.macquarie.com [202.43.136.130] with 32 bytes of data:"
Then it will display some results. Do you show the same IP address as I do,
202.43.136.130?

If you get a different IP then soemthing is wrong with your ISPs DNS server
entry for this web site.

Eric,

Tried pinging www.macquarie.com but get time out message. Pinging the IP
address gives same response. This is the only site with this problem. My
ISP (BigPond) worked through with me the other day and put 2 alternate DNS
servers butthat didn't work either. My Firewall (ZoneAlarm) shows the
outgoing message as blocked - I've put those 2 DNS servers in the firewall's
trusted sites but still no . . .

What happens if you disable ZoneAlarm and try it?

Was it possible that at one point you blocked outgoing to that site. My
next thought would be to try a tracert to that site. Go to a command prompt
again and type:

tracert www.macquarie.com

Take note of where it fails and talk to your ISP. You might need ZoneAlarm
off to try this. When I run it it stops at 139.130.4.190, but I believe
that is probably the last router before the site and they don't allow pings
past that point. If it fails much earlier then there is a problem. You
should see right away your default gateway if you are on high-speed it will
be your router then it should be your ISPs gateway.

It is always possible your IP is being blocked to the site somewhere down
the line.

Hope this helps a little more.

TRACERT responds with "Unable to resolve target system name www.macquarie.com"
