Address bar feature going straight to search

mike

I can no longer just type in a www.xyz.com address in the
address bar to get to a site. When I do this, explorer
sends me to the search engine for my default home page
which has now been changed to "huge search". I have
tried to reset default web setting but it contiues to
reset the default to "huge search" and it continues to
prevent me from getting to a website by typing the
address into the address bar. I can get to the address
by typing in the http://www.xyz.com but i have not had to
do this in the past.

You have spyware. Download an anti-spyware utility from
CNET (spybot's search and destroy) and go to your
registry and perform a search for "huge search" and
delete or change the entry to its default/original entry.
