On my new computer the web pages in Internet explorer are displaying at
a larger width than the same pages in other browsers. Because of this
the images are distorted. Internet Explorer 6 is the only place that
this is happening. Does anyone know how to fix that?

Hi,
You may have to choose a different resolution. Right-click the desktop>
Properties> Settings. If I use any resolution other than 1280 x 800 on one
notebook computer, images are compressed vertically.

Or... you may have this situation:
820286 - PRB Windows XP Does Not Natively Support High-DPI Screens

828682 - JPEG images appear distorted in Internet Explorer 6

Hope this helps,

It's not the resolution because everything else displays correctly. The
same page in IE and FireFox will display differently, with the images in
IE streched out and the images in another browser showing correctly. I'm
confused on this weird error.

Thanks for any help.

It looks like the dell newsgroup listing is the answer. Thanks for the help

You're welcome. Glad that it worked for you.
