IE6 opens with http://if.searchcentrix.com/searchcat.jsp....

I type in a different url, it clicks up for a second and
then is replaced by the above. Have reset ie6 defaults.

Have installed adaware etc, have run regedit and searched
for "searchcentrix" but can find it nowhere.

Please help

Spybot - S&D from http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd
should be able to remove this.
Notes: Spybot should be updated after installation, before each use.
Remove items listed in red- others are optional.
